The Government College for Women, Gurawara, successfully organized the National Science Day celebration with financial support of ₹20,000 provided by the Haryana State Council for Innovation Science and Technology (HSCIT). The event aimed to foster scientific awareness among school students from nearby villages and inspire them towards scientific exploration. As part of the program, an “Open House” was conducted where students visited the college laboratories, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science labs, to witness interactive demonstrations and hands-on experiments. A science model competition was also organized, giving college students a platform to present their innovative projects and motivate school participants. The financial assistance was utilized for prize distribution, refreshments, and project-making resources, enabling smooth execution of the program. Through this initiative, the college not only commemorated the contributions of scientists but also promoted scientific temperament, curiosity, and collaborative learning among students, fulfilling the objective of National Science Day.
